Programs:
Child Development:
Program Length 480 clock hours / 16 weeks
Program Goal: This program allows students to gain awareness of interaction and interdependency between home, school, and community. Upon completion students will receive 12 ECE units and will be certified in CPR and First Aid. The graduated students will be able to cover various disciplines, methods and techniques for teaching or helping children.
Computer Office Skills / Accounting:
Program Length 480 clock hours / 16 weeks or 24 weeks
Program Goal: This program is designed to give a student the type of training that will enable him/her to enter the work field as an entry-level office worker, accountant, and word processor or to advance those individuals already in that field who find that knowledge of computers, word processing, accounting, and data entry is necessary to give them upward mobility in their occupation.
Medical / Dental Assisting Front Office (Medical Billing and Coding):
Program Length 336 clock hours / 17 weeks
Program Goal: This program provides a student with the ability to prepare and submit medical insurance claims properly. Emphasis is placed on medical insurance billing and communication. Upon successful completion of this program, a student will be able to enter and electronically submit medical claims, understand and apply medical coding and medical terminology, install and utilize medical billing software, and perform keyboarding skills with accuracy.
Medical Assisting Back Office:
Program Length 480 clock hours / 16 weeks
Program Goal: This program provides a student with skills to work with doctors and nurses in the back office. Emphasis is placed on medical assisting. Upon seccessful completion of this program, a student will be able perform various duties under the direction of physicians in the examination and treatment of patients. They prepare treatment room, inventory supplies and instruments, and set up patients for attention of physician. They may schedule appoitments, keep medical records, or perform other critical duties.
Electronic Technology:
Program Length 493 clock hours / 20 weeks
Program Goal: This program provides a student with the ability to conduct performance tests, analyze digital or analog circuits, interpret information obtained form measurements, and troubleshoot electronic circuits. A student will learn to analyze, diagnose, and accomplish the repair of malfunctioning digital electronic systems, and understand the purpose and methods of using the various electronic test devices commonly employed in the industry. A student will be able to analyze, troubleshoot, and maintain IBM compatible computers.
Professional Property Management:
Program Length 406 clock hours / 14 weeks
Program Goal: This program provides a student with skills to work with property owners and real estate agents. Upon successfull completion of this program, a student will be able to perform various duties under the direction of property owners and real estate agents, interfacing with vendors, tennants, police and fire departments. They also perepare bills, collect payments, make deposits,. inventory supplies, and maintain property.
Electronic / Mechanical Assembly:
Program Length 336 clock hours / 14 weeks
Program Goal: This program provides a student with safety procedures and identification of tools. A student is taught how to install and wire subassemblies such as integrated panel controls and power sources for electronic equipment, work from blueprint schematics, route wires through assembly to connectors and terminals according to instructions. Learn the various uses of hand tools used in the Electrical / Mechanical Assembly field, learn basic electric theory, color code, code letters and component recognition and work on printed cirucit boards, component prepping, stuffing, slodering, inspection and rework, and work on mechanical assembly, calipers, microscope, and surface-mount technology.
Computer Repair & A+ Certification Preparation / Networking:
Program Length 336 clock hours / 14 weeks
Program Goal: This program prepares A+ certification candidates for the A+ hardware and A+ operating system exam. Students will learn about PC hardware, system maintenance procedures, dealing with legacy systems, creating and using emergency boot diskettes and managing printers and other devices. The student will also learn to troubleshoot systems quickly, recover lost files, password protect systems, and defragment hard drives.
